  • The Assembly

 The Assembly is the supreme body of the CBSWSA and brings together all the banking supervisory bodies that are members of the CBSWSA.

 The assembly of the CBSWSA is held once a year and it is hosted by the different members in turn.

 Extraordinary meetings may also be convened as appropriate.

  •  The Presidency

The CBSWSA is chaired each year by the head of banking supervision of the institution who organizes the annual meeting. The term of office of the President is one year, ending at the next Assembly.

The Central Bank of Nigeria is currently chairing the CBSWSA.

Mr. Philip IKEAZOR, Vice Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria in charge of the Financial System Stability Directorate, is currently the President of the CBSWSA for fiscal year 2025.

  •  The Permanent Secretariat

The Permanent Secretariat is the administrative office of the CBSWSA. It is housed by one of the banking supervisory bodies, a member of the CBSWSA.

Since 2008, the Permanent Secretariat of CBSWSA has been established within the General Secretariat of COBAC, currently located in the premises of the National Directorate of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) in Libreville, Gabon.

 Mr. Marcel ONDELE, Secretary General of the COBAC, is currently Permanent Secretary of the CBSWSA.

 Mr. Joe-Carl ANOUE KOUOMI, Deputy Director in charge of international relations within the General Secretariat of COBAC, is the Permanent Secretary Delegate of CBSWSA.
